Usher, Tameka Foster Custody Battle Heats Up

As Usher and ex-wife Tameka Foster's nasty custody battle continues, sources tell TMZ that Foster fears she could be left homeless by the singer.

Under their divorce settlement, Usher can sell the Georgia mansion which he owns and where Foster and their children, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd, live, provided he gives her 60 days notice. According to TMZ, Foster has accrued legal debts and is asking the 33-year-old singer to give her and their sons the mansion as their permanent home -- a request that Usher has reportedly dismissed.

The couple is scheduled to return to court at the end of the month, according to TMZ.

The property tiff is only the latest chapter in the singer's custody battle with Foster (she has reportedly requested full custody of the children). Earlier this month, a Georgia judge ordered the couple, who currently share custody, to work out a temporary custody agreement in private mediation. On May 5, Foster denied claims that she threatened to kill the R&B star, admitting under oath that she had told him, "I will f**k you up."

The singer's divorce from Foster was finalized in 2009 after less than two years of marriage.

In January 2012, the Los Angeles Times reported that the three estates -- worth an estimated $18.8 million combined -- had already been transfered into Vanessa's name.

TMZ recently reported that the Kobe and Vanessa were reconciling.

Usher would not allow the mother of his children to go homeless. That would be awful. If she were a goldigger, she gave him kids, so he needs to settle something. Those kids would letter betray him.

She is a gold digger and she is crazy; just look at all of the reports filed against her and her own admissions of what she is doing. She is not use to that type of lifestyle, and she wants it. Of course, she is around that lifestyle but she's not apart of it. If she really meant her children well being then she would simply share the custody of the children. This is what an open minded mother and a mother with the good intentions and well-being of her children would and should want. What he's not entitled to have a life but you can! Really, I don't think so. I think that the judge should do a 50/50 split for the children sake and well balance.

some ppl do not think b4 they get married and have kids. Tameka and Usher are now in an ugly custody battle where in all honesty it is not about the kids, it is about Tameka draining Usher financially and her using the children as pawns in this game. And it's sad because Usher loves his kids and is actively involved in their lives.

Man, If she is so well off then y does she fear being homeless? Hell, I'm a broke college student and I don't even fear homelessness. She is a gold digger and she is bitter. Not saying usher is perfect, but I really dnt like how the court rules in favor of women, just because. She was NOT in the studio recording with Usher so she deserves VERY little. Good for him for trying to take his kids. Real man for u.

I have no doubt Usher was a bad husband. I also think it was mistake that he marry this woman. Many of his fans and even his own mother warned him against marrying her. I think she was after his money and will say and do anything to get what she feels is her entitled slice of the pie. She only filed this suit after Usher canceled her Saks Fifth Avenue charge card which tells me she is only going after full custody so she can make more money. Women who use their children as paychecks and to get revenge on their ex-spouses are despicable. Yes, Usher should never have cheated but his children should not suffer because of their parents.

He shouldn't that is not his responsibility what was she doing prior to Usher. As everyone has pointed out she was dressing individuals - the so called rich and famous of the society. So this is what she should go back to doing. I have no doubt that he will and has provided much monetarial support for his children, but his ex-wife is just that his ex-wife. This is not his responsibility - it is her responsibility if she wants to live a certain lifestyle. Not his responsibility!

Yes, it appears as though Usher thought with his male anatomy part and not his brain when he married this gold digger. I believe she was pregnant with their 1st child and thought she would solidify their marriage. Bad behavior on both of their parts. In less than two years of marriage the courts will grant her what she's entitled to. She doesn't need to live in a mansion and most divorced women face the fact they have to re-enter the work force to provide for themselves and their children. Both of their actions show just how immature and what brats they both are. But there are two little boys who don't deserve to be a part of their parents war! And I feel Usher got what he deserved in marrying her. I'm sure Usher's Mother is happy about their split ~ don't think she was even invited to their wedding or she refused to go. Next time, Usher, you might do better thinking with your brain and not your male anatomy part!

howaboutthis ~ I believe Frances McSheffrey is basing her comments on Tameka's actions. Considering what's been in the news and on TV it's pretty evident that this women is a gold digger and Usher didn't think with his brain when he married her or started having babies with her. Their marriage was in trouble before during and after the marriage ceremony. Lots of red flags with this couple and now they're in a nasty divorce and custody dispute. Seems as though the press got it right this time.

I know this because I have eyes that see and a brain that works.....pretty simple....I knew Heather Mills was a gold digger when she married Paul McCartney and this woman was the same......really does not take a genius to see through people, also i think what I do for a living helps me to read people pretty well......:) have a nice day :) One other thing when your mom and EVERYone you know is screaming DON'T MARRY THIS PERSON!!!.....more often than not they are right

IN the divorce decree, I am sure she received some monetary compensation. She opened a boutique and now finds herself in financial hell. So, it is back to Bank Usher for more. She agreed to live in the mansion and be notified 60 days in advance that he would sell it. She was not forced. Enter a new love in his life and all of a sudden he is not a good father and she is going to f somebody up. He spends a lot of quality time with his sons and takes them with him when he out of town. BUt, if Tameka can get full custody, it will solve her problem of having to leave the mansion because she would want them to remain in the environment "to which they are accustomed." If she cannot provide that, give them to the father who can and who is willing to assume full custody.

respected ~ I agree with you except for not having both parents share custody of their precious little boys. The divorce is between Mother and Father and their boys need the love and support of both parents equally. Especially now that the family unit has been destroyed. It's about the children, being good parents to them and keeping them safe from the war their parents are fighting.

Tameka was drama from day 1. She is stupid. When Tameka married Usher, she should have had an agreement in place, just in case they divorced, which would have eliminated money drama.

This is not Tameka's first divorce. She knows the drill.

She should, as long as she can afford to buy one. She should not and is not entitled to the mansion he bought before he met her. And lets just say for the sake of argument that he does give it to her,will she then demand that he pay the property taxes and repair costs for the next 18 years because she doesn't get enough in child support to afford it?She needs to remember that she is an adult and responsible for her own care and upkeep and the care and upkeep of the minors under her control,not just their fathers

Because it is not hers, and besides she hasn't put the time in either. Having babies in less than two years of marriage don't qualify you to get half of something in which was not yours in the first place. She should get child support, but also be allowed to have just what she brought into the marriage. If she had nothing then she gets nothing.

Yeah right......no way will she be homeless.......maybe not the mansion but I am sure she will be comfortable in a smaller home that would be big enough for herself and the children. I just can't get too worked up in these celebrity divorces. No judge will allow her children and her to be homeless. Probably a smaller home and less money that she is used to having to spend but hey, maybe she will get the house but look at the payments and the taxes alone and then a smaller house would not be looking so bad.
