Julia Restoin-Roitfeld Baby Is Here! Carine Roitfeld's Daughter Gives Birth (UPDATED)

Mazel tov to Julia Restoin-Roitfeld! The model daughter of famous ex-Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld reportedly gave birth in the very recent past. (Like, maybe today.)

Julia, Roitfeld's 31-year-old daughter, announced she was three months pregnant back in November, and according to Harper's Bazaar and fashion insider Derek Blasberg, she's given birth. Playing the role of lucky new dad is Restoin-Roitfeld's boyfriend, model Robert Konjic.(Of course, Julia herself hasn't yet confirmed the news, so take Blasberg's news with a grain of organic sea salt.)

Julia, who's also a lingerie designer, celebrated her pregnancy the fashionable way: posing on a magazine cover with her baby bump and some high-fashion lingerie.

We'll keep you posted when we get confirmation, but in the mean time, we'll be pondering some possible very stylish and very French baby names.

UPDATE: It's a girl! Next publicist Katy Moseley told Elle UK, "We are delighted to confirm that Julia and Robert have had a healthy baby girl... Both mother and daughter are doing very well and resting at home."

Why do people bother to read news in the Style section which, by definition, covers important people in fashion, and then complain that they've never heard of the people in the articles? Anyone who follows fashion knows who this person is (and when I say "follows f fashion", I am not referring to how people dress but whether they are familiar with designer collections). If you don't care about fashion, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but why bother commenting that you don't care and don't know? This wasn't supposed to be about celebrities, that's in the Entertainment section or in People magazine. This is a Style section and it's related to Vogue magazine. There's a big difference, and deliberately so. Just don't read the articles that don't interest you.

It says in the article that Julia is a designer. She's also a successful enough model to have been a cover girl.
