Bless their hearts, the House GOP just cannot hide their prejudices anymore. Shouldn't it be unconstitutional to pick and choose which "women" you protect?

The Republican party is like an abusive husband.

They get wrapped up in their own anger and hurt America for a few years until America leaves them for the Democratic party. But each time they come back, promising to change. First it was, they'll be "Kinder and Gentler". Then it was, they'll be "Compassionate Conservatives". But each time, they not only went right back to their old ways, but got even meaner and worse with money.

Well the last time they got thousands of its citizens killed in 2 horrible wars, let a whole city drown after a hurricane, and left the country in the worse economic shape it'd seen since the Great Depression. And now they're doing everything they can to hurt women, gays, hispanics - any group they think they can get away with taking their rage out on - even *before* asking America to take them back again.

We all know how this ends. America either finally gives up on the sweet lies it's being promised and moves on from its abuser, or gives its abuser one too many second chances.

Which path do you think America will choose?

Perfect description. F&F. Its one big free lunch promise with repeatedly bad delivery. We can give you tax cuts and make business thrive ..... but it doesn't happen. You have to invest in the country to get a return and they always refuse. Then you get all the other unhinged stuff, and, as you point out so well, they are getting worse by the day. Just a short look at their Obama Derangement Syndrome is enough to tell you they have gone into the area of serious mental illness. I hope we choose right!

I fear the path that human beings (especially battered ones), are prone to take - the path of least resistance.

Wait, what? You mean to tell me there's a conservative woman from Alaska who is a politician who can actually think for herself? Without Tea Party talking points?
Wow, isn't Alaska the state that wants to declare itself free of the United States? Where a young beauty queen can grow up to be governor and then quit the job to become a Tea Party SuperPac bar fly?
No, seriously, it's refreshing to see one of the Conservative party's women stand up to the white male majority.

Perhaps Murkowski is frightened by how the TP might treat her, if the TP legislation passes?

Murkowski is not frightened by the TP...she lost to Joe Miller in the primary and became only the second person to win the general as a write in candidate.

Republicans had previously insisted on a version that doesn’t include protections for immigrant and Native American women and for same sex couples. Racist and homophobic, that's not really news now is it
