I don't vote for politicians based on their bank accounts. I do not however vote for people who lie re their wealth,or lie re how they made their wealth.Romney is an empty shirt.This election is going to be re $.Not the economy in the U.S.,but how much $ a candidate can raise.With the likes of slimy Karl Rove,secret PAC $,& crooks like the Koch bros. who are willing to spend billions to get Romney elected, the Dem.are going to have to dig deep.This election will not be re issues.

I think that Conservatives are being conned by the GOP. They are telling them that the American Dream is something other than the American Dream was meant to be. I don't know who changed the meaning or why the right wing base fell for it, but they think it is something that it is not.
The American Dream as I've always been told is to get an education, get a job, make enough money to get your own home, take a vacation every year, send your children to camp when they are little, then on to college when they grow up, and to have enough money to have a nice retirement.
Somewhere or another, the right wing got the idea that the American Dream was to be filthy rich, even if you have to hurt people or step on your family to make it to the top. They also seem to think that the filthy rich should be worshiped, because they are better than everyone else, and anybody who has the sense not to worship the rich must be jealous and wants all the rich people's stuff. That's not true. All we want is a level playing field. We want to start on the same base and be judged on our merits. We are not jealous of the rich, we have our own stuff. We just don't want to be stepped on and beat up by the rich, while the rich take the little bit of stuff we have left.
