Paige Parkerson Allegedly Murders Clifton 'JR' Barkin Over Cheap Mother's Day Gift

Paige Parkerson, 20, has been charged of murdering her fiance, 22-year-old Clifton "JR" Barkin.

A Texas woman repeatedly stabbed her fiancé after receiving only a card and flowers from Walmart for Mother's Day, investigators say.

Paige Parkerson, 20, is charged with first-degree felony murder in the death of Clifton "JR" Barkin, the 22-year-old father of her two children, according to the Daily Mail.

Barkin's mother, Evetta Wright, received a call from Parkerson early Monday morning informing her that Barkin was dead. "Paige told me that she killed JR," Wright told the Beaumont Enterprise. "That he was dead."

Wright last saw her son at 11:30 p.m. the previous night, when she dropped him off at the home he shared with Parkerson, according to the Enterprise. Just before that, Wright had driven Clifton to Walmart so he could purchase flowers and a Mother's Day card for Parkerson. Wright believes that her son's fiancée attacked him because she expected a more lavish gift.

Parkerson, whose Facebook page lists her favorite quotation as, "if looks could kill i would be da murder of all my haters," was arrested shortly after her phone call to the victim's mother, the Houston Chronicle reported. She is currently being held at Jefferson County Jail on $75,000 bond.

The couple's children are now staying with relatives.

I guarantee you, post-partum depression had a LOT to do with this. She had JUST had a baby a few months earlier. Just like those new mothers who drown their babies. If it wasn't him, it might well have been the children she harmed down the road. She also has a second Facebook page that's more recent, that's pretty disturbing. A lot of people, still seem to be on HER side in this. poor guy.

This story is extremely sad and horrifying at the same time. I feel so sorry for the couple's
children. Clifton sounds like a very kind man to have bought his fiance Paige a mother's day
card and some flowers. That's probably all he could afford. It's despicable what she did
to him. I'm glad to hear Paige was charged with first degree murder. RIP Clifton and my
very sincere condolescences to Clifton's mother. Now every mother's day will be the
anniversary of her son's death. How truly horrifying.

She didn't just decide to stab him, he knew she was violent and ill tempered and he continued to stay with her and have kid's with her, a case of youthful indiscretion that lead to the loss of his life. I tell my son's thoroughbreds don't hook-up with horses pulling the "Tooty-Frooty" wagon.

How about not stabbing at all, never mind once to "get the point across." Think about it
this way, Wendy. Don't do to someone else what you wouldn't have done to you.
There's no reason good enough to stab someone. hello. Besides everything else
stabbing someone is violent and a crime for which you go to jail.

Unfortunately, this woman has mirrored Valentines Day and Mothers Day. Alot of you women on here clowning her, was her in spirit at one time or another when you felt under appreciated and took for granted the sincere gesture men in your life tried to show when they showered you with a gift you felt was not good enough. some of you require a receipt now so you can exchange gifts(ungrateful). Others refuse to have sex, and secretly punish us men, others secretly harbor bitterness because TV and radio has pimped you into believing that if its not diamonds or expensive then your being devalued. being un thankful. 2. An outside entity has nothing to do with peoples choices. For the only thing we vibrating energy beings have control over is our CHOICE to respond to what a person says or behaves with ourselves.
3. Yes a man can live his life simply in harmony with a woman who appreciates his contributions to the home but only if that is what he is truly wanting to attract. By law of attraction these two polarized to one another and have lived their experiences.
