Jay-Z Says He's Taking Time Off From Recording To Spend Time With Baby Blue Ivy Carter

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are pretty clearly completely in love with 4-month-old baby Blue Ivy.

In two recent interviews, rapper Jay-Z made his commitment to Blue even more explicit, admitting that he'd rather spend time with his "greatest creation" than work on new music.

Speaking to MTV, the rapper said: "I thought I would be more inspired with all the new feelings and everything that I'd have to write about [after Blue Ivy was born], but it really happened the other way. I just really want to just hang out with her."

He articulated the same sentiments in another interview with CNN (which playfully labelled him a "stay-at-home-rapper"), calling fatherhood "fantastic," "amazing" and "surreal." He said he races home from work "all the time" to be with Blue Ivy.

It'll be all the harder for Jay-Z not to "spoil [Blue Ivy] rotten" if he's spending lots of time with her -- but it's clear he's enjoying every minute of his new job so far.

Awesome, it's great to see any FATHER actually want to spend time with their child. Unfortuantely, some men think being a good father is all abnout providing and giving things. Children want nothing more than your to be there. I think it's awesome he is able to and WANTS to just "hang out" with his kid.

Normally I do not get involved in entertainment debates but uh Jay doesn't have any other children, at all. Those are rumors you guys are getting upset about, no woman has ever come forward with a child by Jay.

Doesn't he already have children or one, at least. This must hurt them. Did he want to "suspend" his work and spend time with the child or children he has already fathered. This is NOT his first child. JayZ needs to stop speaking as if this is his first child-it isn't.

Jay z and Beyonce are in for a rude awakening. Time goes by fast when you have kids. It won't be long before she comes home teary eyed one day because someone drops the B word or the N work on her. And, they won't be able to complain, because they helped nurture a culture that accepts that. You reap what you sow.

Maybe because B & J are like royality to some Blacks...I mean clearly they are the biggest Black stars in the world! I mean it's not everyday you have two equally famous people together.
