'Sin City' Sequel Release Date Set For October 4, 2013

'Sin City' Sequel Gets A Release Date

Remember that "Sin City" sequel Robert Rodriguez promised would happen nearly eight years ago? Well, it's finally happening, and now it's even got a release date. Progress!

Dimension Films announced Thursday that the anticipated sequel will hit theaters in October 4, 2013. The film is currently titled "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," and will it will reunite Rodriguez with his co-director Frank Miller.

"Sin City," which was released in 2005, starred Bruce Willis, Clive Owen, Rosario Dawson, Devon Aoki, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Clarke Duncan, and practically any other famous person who wanted to hang out in front of a green screen for a few weeks with Rodriguez.

According to EW, two original cast members are confirmed for the sequel: Mickey Rourke as Marv, and Jessica Alba as dancing Nancy Callahan. The remaining cast will be announced shortly with "some huge names expected.”

"Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" will be shot in 3-D, and filming will begin this summer.
