Celebrity Week In Review: Donna Summer Dies, Britney Spears' New Gig And More

PHOTOS: What You Missed This Week

It was another whirlwind week in Hollywood news! While many TV stars hit the Big Apple this week for the major networks' upfront presentations, other stars jetted off to France to kick off the annual Cannes International Film Festival -- including Sacha Baron Cohen, who pulled quite a publicity stunt with Elisabetta Canalis.

We also saw a fair share of celebrity couples packing on the PDA this week, from Kimye at a Lakers game to "Glee" stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith's quick kiss at Madison Square Garden.

Here are some of the most notable celebrity stories from this week:

Donna Summer passed away. The 63-year-old singer, who was lovingly known as the Queen of Disco, died Thursday after battling lung cancer.

Britney Spears is headed to the small screen! The pop princess will take a seat at the judges' table on the upcoming season of "The X Factor," and appeared in New York this week, along with fellow judges Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid, at the Fox upfronts.

"Terminator 3" actor Nick Stahl is missing. Stahl, 32, was reported missing in Los Angeles on May 14. He was last seen in Los Angeles' run-down Skid Row district on May 9.

Kimye shared a quick kiss. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were not only spotted last weekend courtside at an L.A. Lakers game, but were seen sneaking a smooch at Kim's Vogue Italia photo shoot.
