Can't wait another nine months for the Grammys? Never fear, the Billboard Music Awards 2012 are here. The music awards show honored the "best" of the biz, including Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, LMFAO, Wiz Khalifa and Justin Bieber.

And just like at the Grammys, the red carpet was a bit... unconventional. For one, it was white, as was the backdrop the celebs posed against. It made it difficult to see Miley Cyrus' mini white blazer thing, as well as Carrie Underwood and Katy Perry's shimmery pastel confections. Amber Rose and Nelly Furtado also chose white outfits; as they say, three's a trend...

But then there's always someone who bucks the trend and marches to the beat of her own twee drum: Zooey Deschanel. The "New Girl" star ignored the warm Las Vegas weather and wore her favorite black tights. After all, as Zooey has confessed time and again, "I will wear tights even if it's 100 degrees outside."

Even in Vegas, Zooey? See the rest of the stars in their summery looks in our Billboard Music Awards 2012 red carpet roundup. Who was best-dressed of the night?
