White House Visitor Logs Show Lobbying Going Strong

Before 9 a.m., a group of lobbyists began showing up at the White House security gates with the chief executives of their companies, all of whom serve on President Obama’s jobs council, to be checked in for a roundtable with the president.

More proof of the need for campaign funding reform...at all levels. We will never get the government we need and want if we allow the wealthy and corporations to buy off our elected officials by funding their re-election campaigns.
We need publicly-funded campaigns where private and corporate donations are all pooled anonymously and shared between all candidates. Only that way can we have elected officials who are not beholden to any known contributors for their re-election.

Yes, they seem to want to create a class war here in America. Never thought I would see this happen so quickly, and see our slide to obscurity so rapid. We are close to financial and compete collapse, and those fools carry on as if there is no tomorrow. Lobbyists talk to politicians. Thats what they do. Going to the White House is pretty much the only way to talk to the President, they can't take him out to dinner or send him on vacation like they do members of Congress.

However just because a lobbyist has an appointment, doesn't mean who he is coming to see is receptive. In fact it usually means the opposite. Why spend money (or try to spend money) on someone who already agrees with your points?
