Dart Attacks Likely From Blow Guns, NYC Cops Say

NEW YORK — Police in New York City say they've arrested a teenager in connection with a string of dart attacks that wounded three people.

Police say the 15-year-old boy was arrested Monday as a juvenile on assault charges. No weapon was recovered, but police say darts were found in the teen's apartment. Investigators believe the assailant may have used a blow gun.

Police say three men – ranging in age from 40 to 66 – were hit by darts around 7 p.m. Sunday in the Bath Beach section of Brooklyn. The men were hit in the back, stomach and legs.

All three were taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Actually I said that in jest....to a point anyway. Taking shots in a populated area at a moving target that is no longer a threat without the confidence you have the correct target is a very, very bad idea.

But the non-jesting part is akin to your post. Just how many fools would shoot darts at armed people? Since NY in it's wisdom (cough, cough) has seen fit to disarm it's citizens against the very document that assures our right to do so, deviants such as these have little to fear for their actions.
