'American Ninja Warrior' Premiere: Oldest Competitor Kelvin Impresses With His Physical Fitness (VIDEO)

05/22/2012 08:20 am ET

NBC unveiled its latest game show Monday night: "American Ninja Warrior" (Mon., 9 p.m. ET on NBC).

Based on Japanese game show "Sasuke," "ANW" put a bunch of competitors through a grueling obstacle course race while hosts Jonny Moseley and Matt Iseman wisecracked from the sidelines.

Breakout star of the Season Premiere was 53-year-old Kelvin Antoine. The hosts admired his physical fitness and warned: "do not underestimate the man that is called 'the grandfather of American Ninja Warrior.'"

However, like most of the other competitors, Kelvin failed to complete the course.

"American Ninja Warrior" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC, and on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on G4.
