Bill O'Reilly: Occupy Protesters Are 'Terrorists' (VIDEO)

Bill O'Reilly said on his Monday show that the Occupy movement was being carried out by "terrorists."

Using the recent protests at the NATO summit in Chicago as a backdrop, O'Reilly made clear his continued displeasure with the movement.

Speaking by phone to Laura Ingraham from a Boston cable convention, he said that someone from the movement had approached him while he was with his children seeing "Jesus Christ Superstar" on Friday, though he did not say how exactly he knew who the person was.

"Somebody had seen me going in or in the theater, had texted the Occupy people, who dispatched this guy to chase me down," he said. "Now, this is what's happening across the country, I think people should know about it."

O'Reilly then upped his rhetorical stakes.

"This Occupy Wall Street movement is now very coordinated and they are terrorists," he continued. "They are trying to create trouble. That's what terrorists do. They are not on the par of al-Qaeda, but they are trying to create trouble, manufacture and contrive trouble."

Occupy Wall Street itself took note of O'Reilly's comments. Posting the video on its YouTube page, it attached a statement:

We couldn't disagree more with most things Bill O'Reilly says, but one thing is clear: he knows we're getting more organized and that we're here to stay.

Unfortunately, what we call freedom of speech and assembly he calls "terrorism."
