Hologram Woman Will Soon Be Helping Guests At New York Area Airports

Hologram Woman Coming To Work At New York Airports

Holograms seem to be all the rage these days. Just ask anyone who saw Tupac come back to perform at Coachella this year. Now, folks in the New York City area will be getting their own hologram human.

Named Ava, this avatar hologram will be popping up at JFK, La Guardia and Newark airports in July to serve as a guide, reports the New York Post.

The systems cost about $250,000 each, according to the Associated Press. But, Ava will start out on a trial basis, running about $180,000 for six months.

She's not exactly the first of her kind, though. Last year virtual boarding agents were tested at Paris' Orly Airport. Last year also saw the debut of hologram security agents at London's Luton airport.
