How To Clean And Remove Super Glue Stains From Any Surface

An Easy Way To Get Out Of A Sticky Situation

For those who have used the ... well, super adhesive, you know it works wonders on everything from home fix-ups to your latest craft project. But when the substance gets on surfaces it's not supposed to, you'll find the sticky situation can be more than frustrating (read: fingers stuck together). Instead, break any unintentional bonds without ruining your furniture (or ripping off your skin) with this easy way to remove super glue from any surface.

The answer to your super glue problems? Nail polish remover with acetone. First, add a small amount of acetone to a clean cloth. Check to be sure the acetone won't damage your affected surface by spot-treating an inconspicuous area. Wait 10 minutes to see if the acetone is too harsh for the surface. If it's not, reapply acetone to the cloth and dab the liquid on to the dried glue. Then, gently scrub off any residue with a soft-bristle toothbrush, adding more acetone as needed. Once the stain is gone, dampen a clean cloth with water and dab the area to remove any remaining acetone. Finally, use a clean cloth to dry.
