I'm an equal opportunity plum or apricot consumer, depending on what's available at the local grocery store or Farmers Market. I've tasted most of hybrids mentioned in this article in one form or another and must say that while the experience was interesting and fun, I much prefer either a straight plum or apricot depending on my mood.

Higher sugar content and sweetness doesn't create those subtle nuances and savory flavor a good fruit should have along with the cloying 'candy' quality I've found many hybrids to have without any complex flavor to accompany it.
