I wonder whether there was a marked difference in the Command and Control of the US Secret Service when it went from being under the Department of the Treasury to being under Homeland Security?

How about each of the 4 drop by my house. I've got some steel-toed boots which i'd like to plant in their crotches at high speed.

Losers.

What is the extend of their role in the scandal? Maybe for turning a blind eye or being in the wrong place at the wrong time or being around wrong groups.

Only 1 person should have been fired. The one that let the cat out.

Perhaps, they should take with them on official duty, officially vetted American hookers, who would not jeopardise the state security. Also the money thus spent will remain within the US economy and not be wasted on foreign hookers and foreign economies. The state should now begin recruiting local hookers with US Birth certificates and resident in the country. This would also add to the respect and position in the countryt, for hookers, as they could hold government jobs in future.

This behavior is nothing new. SS agents went out all night to an after hours girlie bar on 11-22-62. Don't know this date? It was the early morn

I think it was inappropriate for these agents to fraternize with foreign nationals. Especially participating in risky behavior that could compromise the life of the President. I don't think it would be difficult to blackmail an agent in return for vital security information. I think everyone of these guys that participated in this behavior knew better and I think everyone of them should be fired. Period.

If you don't have the ability to control your ding-a-ling-ding-dang because you are in a foreign country, then the Secret Service probably isn't for you; go work a Wendy's.

There's no shock value here... it's pretty funny actually. Of course you are scapegoats! Of course Johnny...what, you didn't think that you'd get off (no pun intended) with a slap on the wrists right? Those senior SS agents and other agents from other agencies are holding their breaths hoping that none of the 'good ole boys' decides to get a conscience and blab... that would wreck their whole flow and their Polyanna wives' notion that it's "NOT MY HUSBAND"... lol. Ahh, too funny!

"What goes TDY stays TDY"... we learn that in durn basic training... so, what these agents say is true... this behavior is "condoned" even though it's frowned upon "offically"... in the military this kind of stuff happens all.the.time! But, if you get caught and it becomes an embarassing public incident, then of course they have to bring the hammer...otherwise, it's conversation fodder at the O and E clubs...seriously!!!

These agents are so messed up they can't distinguish right from wrong. You are tagged with the security of the President and there you were drinking and soliciting prostitutes in the middle of the night hours away from the President arrival. Not only you jeopardized the safety of the President you derelicted your duties. And you said you didn't do anything wrong?. Wackenhut is hiring.

The Secret Service issued new rules of conduct for agents today. They can no longer get drunk, procure hookers or go to strip bars. The rules say that from now on, if agents feel compelled to engage in such behavior, they can run for public office like everyone else.

this went on as far back as Kennedy .... his agents were drunk the night before the shooting .....

I just tried to post this info (the SS agents went out drinking in a girlie club all night before the Dallas motorcade) on the JFK incident but iPhone ate it. The rest of the story is that the agents in the follow up car just stood on the running boards and made no attempt to protect or help anyone in the President's limo, except for one agent assigned to Mrs Kennedy. No agent was disciplined. Later in the 1990's the SS destroyed their documents on the Dallas trip instead of releasing them to a Board (ARRB) set up to release documents under the JFK Act.

These men are trained in combat and protection. They are not pastors, or celebrities, freaking day care workers, or any kind of moral compass. Prostitution is legal in Columbia. They broke no law. You can take your personal beliefs and keep 'em to yourself. Thats why theyre called 'personal'

There are no rules for fraternization while in foreign countries ? These men are on public payroll, that's taxpayer money on that expense report. They compromise the integrity of the protection of the POTUS and are on duty, not partying with Cartegena hookers in the middle of the night.
07:59 AM on 05/23/2012
I guess I misunderstood some of the reports about this. I thought they were off duty, is that not correct? Did they in fact put the cost of the ladies on their expense account?

Lemme see..their defense would be: We were doing this before, why are we being fired now? Answer: You got CAUGHT!

Drop it. And not your pants, guys.

Got caught? They broke no laws.

Changing the rules just to fire good employees is a weasel thing to do. If a private company did this they would get their assets sued.

I can't wait how they want to explain getting passed-out drunk, leaving delicate security information on their persons, after having gone to get women of negotiable status in a foreign country while on the job protecting someone important.

Probably by showing they were not drunk, did not reveal security info, were in accord with local laws, and did not endanger the president.

That would be my strategy, anyway.

The designated drivers?
Unfortunately they're likely to have our laws applied against them instead of Columbia's - as it doesn't seem anyone is getting any leeway here.

Or pretend you're very drunk and give disinformation to throw off all spies that happen to be lurking in the shadows. Well, it would be okay to have maybe one beer.
