Fun. Covers 'Call Me Maybe': Carly Rae Jepsen's Song Is Everywhere, Even Holland (VIDEO)

WATCH: A Fun(.) Cover Of 'Call Me Maybe'

Any day, another superstar covers Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe". Now Fun. is joining in on the ... well, fun.

The band, whose smash single "We Are Young" is currently one slot above Jepsen's catchy track on the Billboard Hot 100, performed a mellow acoustic version of the upbeat pop song during an in-studio session for Dutch radio's 3FM.

With Nate Ruess' signature rasp, the uptempo track sounds more tortured than bubblegum. It's an interesting take on a pop song, but perhaps not as enthusiastic as Katy Perry's lip sync cover.

Still, it wasn't all fun(.) and games in Holland. (Get it?)

During the band's interview segment, DJ Giel Beelen noted that Holland had supported equal rights for gays and lesbians for roughly a decade, whereas President Obama only recently supported same-sex marriage in May. Fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff, who has blogged for The Huffington Post on the subject, wasn't afraid to weigh in.

“America is not as forward as some other places in the world,” Antonoff said. ”It’s nice to come to countries where you don’t have any second-class citizens because everyone’s equal. That’s a good feeling right off the bat. Whenever we know we’re going to be somewhere that has equal rights we just get like a warm feeling in general about the place.”
