2012 National Swimsuit Confidence Week: Lands' End Asks Women To Post Their Own Swimsuit Photos

Find Your Swimsuit Confidence

Swimsuit season is upon us, and although we're definitely ready for some fun-filled days in the sun, perhaps the thought of baring our bodies is not quite so exciting.

But Lands' End has teamed up with Self magazine and the Curvy Girl Guide for the second annual National Swimsuit Confidence Week -- seven days devoted to inspiring women of all shapes and sizes to embrace their bodies and step out in their swimsuits with pride.

"We want women to get to a place where they're comfortable in their swimsuits but more importantly their bodies," Curvy Girl founder Brittany Gibbons told The Huffington Post.

The campaign is asking women to inspire others by posting pictures of themselves in their swimsuits on their personal Facebook page or the Lands' End Facebook page -- or even tweet them out using the hashtag #confidence.

So far, 21 Curvy Girl writers along with more than 20 breast cancer survivors from Beyond the Boobie Trap have posted pics of themselves posing in their Lands' End suits.

"When we launched last year, the response was phenomenal," Michele Casper, director of public relations at Lands' End told The Huffington Post. "It very much became a sisterhood of women bonding together and supporting each other."

"Comments like 'Wow, you look great!' and 'You go girl!' on the posted photos was an amazing spirit-sharing experience," she added.

If you want to join in the fun, visit the Lands' End Facebook page and check out all the inspiring photos from the Curvy Girl Guide and Beyond the Boobie Trap. You'll also be able to find swimsuit-fit tips and swimsuit giveaways throughout the week via the Lands' End Twitter account.
