Shutter shades, t-shirts, jeans and sneaks: Blame LMFAO, but our go-to dance-party outfits aren't what they used to be.

In his new music video for "Golden Era," dance music legend David Morales looks to turn back the clock to a time when a night out meant looking good and engaging in some very dignified fun.

"I decided to do a video for 'Golden Era' because the song lends itself to a story," Morales told HuffPost Entertainment. "I wanted to get away from doing a traditional 'dance' music video -- it's why I decided to go with a film directer as opposed to a typical video director. I wanted the video to have a movie vibe to it."

The video for the single was directed by Victor Buhler, a filmmaker perhaps best known for 2005's "Rikers High," a documentary which took viewers inside the school at New York's infamous Riker's Island prison.

The New York-based producer has remixed every major artist (really: Michael Jackson, Madonna, U2, Kylie Minogue, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross -- the list goes on) since he began reworking pop songs into dance hits in 1986. This work earned him a Grammy for Remixer of the Year in 1998, but Morales has also produced original music for two decades.

All of today's dancepop DJ's, from Afrojack to Tiesto, owe a debt of gratitude to Morales. Often referred to as the first "superstar DJ," the 50-year-old traversed the globe for residences in the hottest clubs of the '80s and '90s.

"Golden Era," which features Roisin Murphy on vocals, is the lead single off Changes. The upcoming disco house album (out June 19 on Ultra Music) includes "You Just Don't Love Me" and "Holiday," tracks dance-floor aficionados are already familiar with.

Watch below, and be sure to keep a special eye out for the young man who should have left those shutter shades at home.
