This living room, belonging to a couple in South Beach, Florida, is taken from dull to dreamy with the help of HGTV designer David Bromstad. Using the breathtaking beach surrounding their home as inspiration, this space is transformed from a dreary room littered with toys into a tranquil and chic, but still child-friendly, space.
Before the makeover, the living room had dark furniture and white-washed walls that were a bit drab. Post-makeover, the space shines, with natural cream and beige tones combined with pops of purple in the rug and other accents. Now this area gives off a beachy vibe with the use of wood throughout. From the rustic TV console to the drift wood pillars, the room suggests an ocean oasis.
Our favorite part of the makeover? The oversized, abstract painting of a grandfather clock on the wall. It adds a modern touch that doesn't overwhelm the calming effect of the room. We wouldn't mind kicking back and relaxing in this stunning space.
