Emmy Rossum is contractually obliged to show some skin on her hit Showtime series "Shameless," but as she tells The Hollywood Reporter, she sees nothing shameful about it at all.

The 25-year-old, who plays a party girl with a healthy sexual appetite on the show, told THR that her initial contract was very specific about how nude the actress would have to get each episode.

"Originally, when they made the contract it was like, 'You will show partial side boob, you will show two cheeks..." she explained, adding that she hasn't had any issues over how much skin she's shown, since she thinks it's all part of making a believable character.

"I though it suited the character," she said of the nudity. "This is a very low-income family, they have very thin walls, they don't have any money for entertainment, and this girl likes to have sex. For me to glamify her would not be realistic. I have a lot of control over what I want to show, when I want to show it and when I don't want to show it."

Making things look realistic is extremely important to Rossum, who has previously spoken about bringing authenticity to her sex scenes. In January 2011, she told Vegas Magazine that it doesn't make sense for her character to stay clothed during sex.

"It doesn't make sense that the character would wear a bra and care at all about what she looks like when she's having sex," Rossum told the magazine. "Sex is meant to feel good, and she wants to feel good. Her life is so shitty in so many ways. Some people use alcohol, some people use gambling--and some people use sex."

Rossum isn't the only young actress in Hollywood who is actually eager to take her clothes off. Kristen Stewart, 22, appears nude multiple times in the upcoming movie "On The Road," and she told reporters at a recent press conference that no one was pressuring her into it.

"I wanted to do it" she said. "I love pushing, I love scaring myself."

Emmy isn't the only one showing side boob:
