After Pato scored the final goal in Brazil's 4-1 triumph over the U.S. team in an international soccer friendly on Wednesday, he huddled briefly with his teammates in celebration. For one fan, this level of exaltation just wouldn't suffice. To remedy what he seemingly perceived as a lack of excitement, he took matters into his own hands and stormed the field.
After a short pursuit, security at FedEx Field took this pitch invader into their own hands. The first member of the security team to arrive on the scene absolutely leveled him from behind, before several more operatives arrived to forcibly apply a set of handcuffs.
Of course, we have no idea why the man ran onto the field, but it's entirely possible that he simply lost a bet like that guy who stormed the field during a Cardinals game in St. Louis.
