'Real Housewives' Cast Members Banned From Making 'Funny Or Die' Video

'Real Housewives' Banned From 'Funny Or Die'

It's not very often that anyone tells the "Real Housewives" cast members what to do, but that's exactly what happened when several ladies from the monster franchise were approached about appearing in a Funny or Die video.

“Jill Zarin, Alex McCord and Lisa Vanderpump were all asked if they wanted to do a Funny or Die video,” a source close to the "Housewives" cast tells me. “Everyone said yes, and the concept was going to be 'Housewives' set in the future, in 2033. It was a very funny concept and would have been an Internet sensation, but Bravo made it very clear to all the ladies that they couldn’t do it.”

Funny or Die was founded by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s production company. The site has produced online comedy videos that have starred the likes of Charlie Sheen, Ryan Gosling, Daniel Radcliffe, Lindsay Lohan and, most recently, Tom Brady. However, Bravo evidently didn't want its talent associated with it.

"We were offered $10,000 each to do it and were amazed when we got an email making it very clear that under no circumstances was it to happen," one "Housewife" tells me. "Of course, if they had wanted to do one with Andy [Cohen], that would have been allowed. But us housewives, no way."
