Click at your own risk: You won't be able to resist the animals in this week's slideshow of adoptable animals.
Sophie is a lovable year-old purebred Saint Bernard who wants a life full of belly rubs. Tea is a four-year-old cocker spaniel who has had a rough life until now, and is looking for a new family to ease her load. Oliver and Zoya are kitties who were brought to D.C. from Ethiopia by their State Department family, only to find themselves homeless when their family couldn't bring them along to their next posting. Josie is a deaf dog who comes with her own helper dog/BFF, a sweet and loving 4-year-old named Josie. Sultan and Nolan are just over eight weeks old -- they're German shepherd mixes looking to start their young lives with loving families.
We've also got a pair of purebred doves, some cutie-pie gerbils and a litter box trained Chihuahua among the 42 animals in this week's slideshow. (P.S.: Let us know if any of them come home with you!)
Our animals this week come from the Washington Humane Society, the Humane Society of Fairfax County, Oldies But Goodies Cocker Spaniel Rescue, Tails High, the Washington Animal Rescue League and the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.
And don't forget that Saturday night is the Washington Humane Society's annual black tie Bark Ball. It's the best benefit event in town -- you can bring your dog as a date.
