Good news for those of you whose childhood selves spent countless hours in Care-a-Lot: 30 years after they first came on the scene, the Care Bears are back, ready to entertain your own kids. (Whether or not you allow your family to watch this sort of TV is the subject of another debate entirely.) The new characters look a little more high-tech than their '80s counterparts -- and they've welcomed a new addition, the very inquisitive Wonderheart -- but the show's familiar concept (colorful bears who feel deeply and sometimes need to employ the "Care Bear Stare") is largely the same.
With remixes in the works for other kid TV classics, like "Reading Rainbow" and even "Fraggle Rock," now's a very good time to indulge in a short nostalgia trip. Below are themes and clips from TV shows we loved as kids. Have a look, possibly let your children watch too -- and let us know what we missed in the comments below!
