Epsom Derby Ladies' Day Brings Out The Wild Hats (PHOTOS)

After what seemed like the longest pre-party ever, Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee celebration is almost here.

The actual festivities, which mark the monach's sixtieth year on the throne, will take place on June 3-5. But the entire country is already in a celebratory mood, including a very British group of racing fans at today's Epsom Derby.

A behatted bunch of ladies gathered together at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey for Investec Ladies' Day, taking in some racing and competing amongst themselves for the title of "Best Dressed Lady." Model Laura Bailey, sporting a mint green frock and a spiraling beige fascinator, was on hand to present the prize.

The Epsom Derby takes place every year -- you may recall that in 2011, Kate and William showed up wearing a beige fascinator and a totally awesome top hat (respectively, of course).

But this year, The Derby is the first engagement of Diamond Jubilee weekend celebrations, which have already taken over the city. Queen Elizabeth II will attend the Epsom Derby tomorrow (when everyone has toned down the wild hats) and on Sunday she and the Duke of Edinburgh will travel up the Thames River on the Royal Barge. Monday night brings a special Diamond Jubilee BBC Concert at Buckingham Palace and Tuesday is just chock full of royal celebrations.

But today? It's all about the races. Check out the fascinators at Ladies' Day at Epsom Downs and vote on your favorite!
