A Bay State solar panel developer that landed a state loan from Mitt Romney when he was Massachusetts governor has gone belly up — a day after the GOP presidential hopeful ripped President Obama’s green-energy investments.

It probably would be better for Romney to focus on his plans and his ideas. We want to hear what his plans are Not what he thinks is wrong with the president.

What does he want to do? What are his ideas for the economy?

Exactly. Every time he or one of his spokespersons is asked to be more specific on something, they get evasive.

It's troubling that Romney hasn't spent a lot of time thinking about issues beyond his own financial well-being. It makes me wonder why he wants to be president. One reason I support Obama is that he thinks long and hard about different issues, and clearly there are ones which have often kept him awake at night. Unsecured nuclear material and his trip to Russia as a senator is one example. I just can't imagine Romney having the interest.

The really sad part of these solar companies going under is the lack of support for them, along with many other alternative energy ventures, which are really needed more than ever before. Since our government...both parties...have backed things like fraking and deep water oil exploration, we have cast aside pollution-free alternatives...which will not go anywhere near making them affordable for us all.

I don't know how much pollution of our environment it's gonna take before we really get serious about alternatives, bite the bullet, and make the big sacrifices that we will need to so that our air and water quality doesn't deteriorate any further. Maybe when people turn on their taps and methane comes out instead of water, they'll be forced to, instead of doing it the much easier way when there's no emergency.

I wouldn't call Romney's not believing in the bible a fact. Mormons do believe in the bible, they just add other beliefs to it.

Someone should get a life size cardboard cutout of Mitt and place it in front of the building and depict this as an example of a president romney, and have somebody pretend to question him in an interview as to what he plan to do about this company, does he think Bain (managed bankruptcy) can save it, or should it go bankrupt?

I don't understand the flap over Romney's seeming inability to tell the truth. He is a modern big business CEO. That means he says what is needed. Even at the level of a local realtor, you find that ideology - Get The Money! You would say, "Oh of course there is some dampness in the basement if you have a real deluge. That is to be expected in a 75 year old house. Nothing to worry about." When the truth is if it rains more than an inch you can expect 18 inches of water in the basement. When taking over something for personal gain - like a business or a country, Romney obviously will say whatever is needed... "We have no plans to sell off the company. We have no plans for firing anyone. I will get rid of Planned Parenthood, Close the EPA and repeal Obamacare." What will he do? Whatever he wants AFTER the paper is signed. He'll sell or not sell, fire or not fire, keep or get rid of whatever suits him. If it suits him he will repeal Health Care or not. He will ban Abortions and Contraception - or not. What can you count on? NOTHING. But he will make a spectacular show as he does whatever seems profitable for him at any given time. It's just business to him.

Just a small anecdote: I often, and have for decades, make the trip from western CT to VT, driving through western MA. Recently and unexpectedly I noticed a string of windmills along a ridge; they were a beautiful sight. I was surprised at my visceral reaction - maybe it's just seeing something like that at work at a time when there are so many naysayers.
