My pizza obsession started when I was about 9 when my Sicilian Grandma and I would make real homemade authentic Italian pizza from scratch, so much fun! Those memories inspired me to start The Outdoor Pizza Oven Company and sell American made wood fired pizza ovens for your home. Anyone else obsessed with pizza?

Pizza, no matter how it is made or what one puts on it is almost a complete meal. I say to each their own. Just cook it the way you want and enjoy it. Leftovers also makes a good breakfast food.

Which is why you don't eat it a lot and make sure to include some high fiber either as a topping or a side dish to alleviate that.

This is supposed to be a revalation in food? I've been making pizza on the grill for years, as have most of the people I know.

Why can't these dimwits find something new?

I've never made pizza on the grill before. I'm not sure as I know anyone who has. Living in the Chicagoland area there are more than enough pizza take outs to choose from. Now that I am in Arkansas, where they know NOTHING about decent pizza, making pizza on the grill during the hot weather sounds interesting.

Pretty easy, even someone in Arkansas can do it! Hell, Clinton is an OLD pizza man!

Get out of my head! I was going to make the comment that I have come to realize that when AOL uses the word "surprise" in their headline...you won't be. :>)

In reality, this is not a bad idea...using the grill outside, instead of the oven inside to make pizza. However I have very strict and limited rules when it comes to derfining exactly what constitutes a genuine pizza. It must have a high gluten flour crust. It must have a good Italian red sauce. It must have meat and mushrooms and mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. It must never have fish, or pineapple, pine nuts, hummus, or any other cutesy "designer" crap on it. The person who thought up the pretentious "pizza" recipes in this article hasn't a clue as to what goes into and on a real Italian pizza.

You must be a sad and lonely, bitter old man. I truly feel sorry for you for having to justify your existence by making fun of, and insulting others. May God be with you and grant you peace.

Also, for those of us who work alot of hours, yet cook for our families every night, you can use your favorite frozen pizza and finish it on the grille. It gives the pizza such great flavor!

And that is an excellent idea!
