Prison Overcrowding: States Make Moves To Reduce Inmate Population

After what one researcher called, "America's Imprisonment Binge," several states have taken steps to reduce their inmate populations.

The ACLU documents examples in which more than 15 states have either passed or are considering bills that would likely take a bite out of prison overcrowding.
