Fidel Urbina, Chicago Murder Suspect, Added To FBI's 10 'Most Wanted' List (VIDEO)

A murder suspect wanted in a series of extremely violent crimes who once called Chicago home was added Tuesday to the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list.

Fidel Urbina, 37, is wanted in connection with the 1999 sexual assault and murder of one woman -- 22-year-old Gabriella Torres -- and the 1998 beating and sexual assault of another woman -- both crimes that took place in Chicago, ABC Chicago reports.

Urbina was briefly in police custody in the 1998 beating, but -- after his $7,000 bond was posted, he was released. While out on bond, he allegedly assaulted Torres, whose body was found in the trunk of a car that had been set ablaze and left in a Chicago alley, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Urbina has been the subject of a manhunt since 1999, the Associated Press reports. He is considered to be a threat, according to the FBI, and remains at large, despite reported sightings of the fugitive in Mexico.

"We have no idea since he's been gone... how many other things he may be involved in," Robert Grant, FBI special agent in Chicago said Wednesday, according to the Chicago Tribune. "... If he's in Mexico, if he's in Texas, if he's in Arizona, he's a threat to any individual down there, and the sooner we can apprehend him, the better off everybody will be."

Urbina's last known address in Chicago is in the 2100 block of South Fairfield Avenue in the city's Little Village neighborhood. He has been known to use aliases including Lorenzo Maes, Fernando Ramos and Fidel Bahena to evade authorities, according to the Sun-Times.

A $100,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to Urbina's arrest.
