Here's a treat for fans of "The Hobbit": Peter Jackson has released a seventh production video from the set of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," which offers a tour of Stone Street Studios in New Zealand.

The expansive set -- which was also where "Lord of the Rings" and "King Kong" filmed previously -- houses all aspects of production, from makeup and weaponry to stunt coordination and special effects. Jackson is shown driving a golf cart around Stone Street, while individual department heads offer insight on their daily tasks.

It's all very Herculean in nature, not that you'd expect anything less from a film shoot that is jokingly referred to throughout the video diary as taking years.

"Hobbit" stars Luke Evans and James Nesbitt show up briefly in the clip, as well as a surprise guest in the final moments.

Watch in HD over on Facebook. "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" arrives in theaters this December.
