Alphonso, Stephanie Warren, Jamaican Couple, Plead Guilty In Dead Toddler Case

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The parents of a 2-year-old boy whose body was found in their house in Jamaica have pleaded guilty to concealing his death.

Alphonso and Stephanie Warren were charged in January after neighbors stormed their Kingston home looking for the toddler because they hadn't seen him for months. Police found the mummified remains in a suitcase.

A pathology report suggested the boy likely died from disease, asphyxiation or poisoning. No one has been charged in his death. Police declined to say how the body came to be mummified.

The couple will be sentenced in upcoming weeks.

Thursday's plea comes four years after the couple abandoned a baby girl in a freezing stairwell in Toronto. They moved to Jamaica after they lost custody of that girl and their other children.

This article failed the mention that the couple ,who are also Canadian Citizens has a history of child endangering , Canadian Authorities said that in April 2009, they plead guilty to abandoning one of their four children called 'Baby Angelica' and lack of care to the others who were severely malnourished and underdeveloped for their ages. Eight month old Baby Angelica was found abandoned and bleeding in a frigid stairwell in Toronto in 2008, The Warners did not receive jail time while the kids were placed in the care of the state.
