The comments make me smile. Yes, Ukrainian women are lovely. So, too, the women in Moldova. The girl that would snap necks on an American street doesn't get a second glance here. We're almost jaded to lovely, lovely women everywhere you look.
In a way they are our national pride. One of the first things a western visitor is asked is, 'What do you think of our beautiful women?'

Yep. Polish women as well are very, very beautiful. It really is shocking. I suspect that it might have something to do with the fact the swedes overran these areas and ruled them for a period of time in the 1700's. Very, very beautiful women.

Not only is it easier to say and write "Russian", the Ukraine was PART of "Russia" for many years, and I still have maps from high school showing that! But of course you're correct, although any blonde girl could be from either.
