Tony Nominees Share Their Favorite Shows Of The Year (PHOTOS)

The Best Shows Of The Year

With the Tony Awards just two days away, the prediction lists are furiously streaming in, and the fields for Best Play and Best Musical have their clear frontrunners -- "Once" and "Newsies" stand strong in the musical category, while "Clybourne Park" and "Other Desert Cities" duke it out on the play end. But the nominees themselves have their own ideas.

We asked those who've got a stake in the fight to tell us what show -- other than their own -- they're rooting for this year. While the answers ranged from, most frequently, crowd-pleaser "Peter and the Starcatcher," to the less-praised "A Streetcar Named Desire," the consensus seemed to be this was an impossibly difficult question to answer in a year of exceptional theater.

Click on, for the ones that blew Pam McKinnon away, made Steve Kazee feel like a kid again and had Michael Cerveris weeping openly.

The Tony Awards air live from the Beacon Theater June 10 at 8/7c on CBS.
