New Face For 'Homeland' & More Casting News

"Homeland" is getting a new face. According to EW, Valerie Cruz will guest star in Season 2 as Major Joy Mendez. Viewers may remember Cruz from "Dexter," "True Blood" and "Alphas."

Cruz's role is currently just a guest spot, but it could become recurring. Her character will accompany Carrie (Claire Danes) on a mission in Beirut.

"Homeland" Season 2 will also feature "Rome" veteran Zuleikha Robinson. She'll play a journalist, Roya Hammad, who has ties to a terrorist organization.

The new season of "Homeland" promises answers and kicks off Sept. 30, 10 p.m. ET on Showtime.

Matt Gerald has booked a multi-episode arch on "Dexter."
Gerald, who also appears in ABC's "Last Resort" this fall, will play a blue-collar violent criminal. [EW]
