Avril Lavigne took her mall-punk look to the next level, showing off a half-shaved head in Paris on June 9.

X17Online snapped a photo of the 27-year-old singer channeling Skrillex in the city of lights while promoting her clothing line Abby Dawn.

Dressed in a black leather jacket and striped T-shirt, the new hair cut and permanent scowl attached to her face, just emanated angst. Along with her new hair cut, Lavigne also debuted a new makeup routine, foregoing her signature raccoon-like eyeliner for a subtle, smoky eye.

Lavigne joins the likes of other celebrities such as Rihanna, Ke$ha, and Madonna's teenage daughter Lourdes, who have all recently tried the half-shaved look. We're not sure how we feel about the style just yet, but admit it's a far better look than the black bangs Lavigne was sporting in April.
