I am reminded of a quote from William Dafoe's Character in the original Spiderman: "Do you think it was coincidence? So many good things happening for you. All for you." I like to think that the President truly is ignorant and innocent of the numerous leaks being made on his behalf. And perhaps he is, though I suspect it is willful ignorance on his part. I am curious who will be thrown off the sleigh to the pursuing wolves, if the toss will happen before or after the election, and if the 'tossee' will going willingly or try to drag someone out of the sleigh with him/her.

I don't understand this canard. The press picks apart and examines everything a Republican does or says. How can that be compared to the blank check Obama has received? And doesn't the threat of exposure keep someone at least somewhat in check? I don't for a minute believe that a Republican White House could even contemplate being as corrupt and opaque as this White House has been. Do you think over 50% of the people would still be in the dark about an operation like Fast and Furious if it had been carried out under a Republican administration? That borders on the absurd.

It saddens me to read the 'outraged' posters here who will glom onto any excuse as an 'impeachable' offense. Obviously this administration takes leaks seriously since it has pursued 2/3 of all convictions of violations of the 1917 law making it a punishable offense. The outrage is indicative of the level of hypocrisy given how conveniently they forget the outing of CIA operative Valerie Plame and putting her contacts at risk as political punishment for her husband not supporting the now proven false pretense for the Iraq invasion.

So blind is their hatred of this president (which let's not mince words, is fueled largely by racism) that they'll support any propaganda from a political party that purposely hinders economic recovery in the hopes that it will sway an election in their favour.

I ask you, which is a greater threat to national security?

Republicans aren't afraid of voter fraud, security leaks, or any other faux scandal they think up and feed to Rush Limbaugh; they're afraid of losing. And the rest of you who support them should be ashamed.

I'd second that. It's amazes me that so many who are fearful and hateful will do anything to just get this man out of office is just too shameful. And not to mention this was deliberately reported during an tough and rigid election season. With this supposed leak about International trade agreement makes me wonder more about the actual information about it. To me as a voter I want more information about this particular matter. I've already gotten a good idea on some of the main players in this (Rep.Issa of CA)

There's a big difference, he's been going after whistleblowers and legitimate news media, but anytime it's something that can be traced to a higher up nothing happens. I'm guessing this like the others will be placed on the shoulders of some lower rung person.

Going after people for blowing the whistle on illegal or just shady activities is not something I'd expect after the promise of being the most transparent.

I hate that people on the left have such a hard time calling him out on this crap, it does not mean we will support Romney because he'll be just as bad. This administration is not the victim and there far from perfect asking tough questions for the betterment of the country is much better than blind loyalty
