LAS VEGAS -- Representatives from the Caesars Palace resort-casino say they'll start accepting reservations in October for the new Nobu Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip.

It's the first venture into hotels for Nobu Hospitality, which operates Japanese restaurants in major cities around the world.

Officials with Nobu and Caesars say Monday that the 180 guest rooms will feature simple, natural designs inspired by cherry blossoms, origami and Japanese Zen gardens. They'll also include artwork from up-and-coming Japanese artists.

The hotel is planning a room service menu with Nobu restaurant food.

It's slated to open late this year.
