One of the most iconic television shows of all time is coming back to TV, as TNT’s reboot of “Dallas” premieres Wednesday night. Both old and new cast-members Linda Gray, Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Brenda Strong and Julie Gonzalo stopped by "The Talk" (weekdays on CBS), and the hosts got into character by donning '80s-style clothes and hair. "Everything's bigger in Texas!" they beamed.
Though JR, Bobby and Sue-Ellen may not have always gotten along on the show, it wasn’t an instance of art imitating life. Patrick Duffy was careful to say the cast gets along well off the set. “We’re best friends and we would never work together if it weren’t for the fact the show’s coming back, and now we get to play with our best friends again.”
There is one notable character who won't be making the jump from the old to the reboot. Lucy Ewing, played by Charlene Tilton, got left behind. Linda Gray explained the reason behind that decision on “The Wendy Williams Show.” “I think they had to eliminate somebody and I think that they felt that that the interest was the sons, our sons, the divorce, and they added 5 people and it got crowded,” she lamented.
Check out the two-hour "Dallas" premiere Wednesday night at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.
