'Coming Home': Returning Soldier Disguises Himself As A Mascot To Surprise His Kids (VIDEO)

Soldier Disguises Himself As A Mascot For 'Coming Home' Surprise

A soldier's homecoming is almost a sacred moment for his or her family. On "Coming Home" (Wed., 10 p.m. ET on Lifetime), cameras and viewers at home get to share in that emotional experience. For one soldier this week, though, he had a special surprise for the kids he hadn't seen during the past year he was stationed in Korea. His homecoming was a complete and total surprise.

To make it even more of a shock, he did it while the kids were attending a basketball game. During the game, they were seen dancing and having a good time at the game, and even goofing off with the team mascot, who made a special trip to their seats to dance with them.

At half time, his son and daughter surely had no idea why they were being called to the court. But there, with the announcer filling everyone in on who was under that mascot costume, their dad was revealed. With tears and cheers, the family was reunited. It was certainly a return those kids won't soon forget.

See more reunions and shed more tears as "Coming Home" continues Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
