'Dallas' Ratings: Nearly 7 Million Viewers Return To Southfork

'Dallas' Rides Again With Big Ratings

It looks like many fans were longing for more "Dallas." TNT's "Dallas" reboot premiered to 6.9 million viewers on Wed., June 13, according to the network.

The two-hour premiere is now the No. 1 scripted series premiere for a cable network so far in 2012. In the key 18-49 demographic, "Dallas" had 1.9 million viewers and 2.5 million viewers in the 25-54 demo.

The new "Dallas" stars original stars Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray alongside new Ewing family faces Jesse Metcalfe, Josh Henderson, Jordana Brewster, Julia Gonzalo and Brenda Strong.

The Huffington Post's Maureen Ryan had this to say about the new "Dallas" series: "If you want to tune in at least partly out of nostalgia for the old show, Hagman, Duffy and the efficiently soapy antics on "Dallas" will make it worth your while."

"I think it's an upgrade," Brenda Strong, who plays Ann Ewing, Bobby's (Patrick Duffy) new wife, told The Huffington Post. "If you have one version of a computer program, this is the upgrade, the 'Dallas 2.0.' And you don't need an owner's manual because there's a lot of familiarity with this show."
