A recent preschool graduation ceremony in South Los Angeles, Calif. ended in a brawl among school mothers, and it was all caught on camera.
The video of the fight, which first surfaced at EAGnews.org, shows several women brawling in a school classroom. In the background, children can be heard screaming with terror, and one adult shouts, "Get the kids out! Get the kids out!"

The fight was reportedly recorded by an anonymous school parent, who explained the genesis for the brawl on YouTube. While the spectacle is depressing to watch, the reason for the fight makes the whole episode even sadder:
This all started because my son's teacher was so unorganized. Basically because of budget issues all the kids had to share a cap and gown for pictures. One of the moms in the video was basically taking over and the other one didn't like it and told her something about it.
The anonymous parent also described at least one alarming injury: an older woman was accidentally pushed by the fight, and she hit her head on a classroom bookshelf.
The Huffington Post reached out to the Lenicia B. Weemes elementary school, where the brawl reportedly took place, and will update this story if they respond.
The Lenicia B. Weemes school is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District, which recently announced that the following school year would be shortened by a full week because of budget cuts.
In 2010, a kindergarten ceremony at another Southern California school was interrupted when a fight between two parents escalated into a brawl. Puesta del Sol Elementary in Victorville was placed on lockdown after the fight, and two people were arrested.
UPDATE: LAUSD spokesperson Monica Carazo confirmed to CBS2 that the brawl occurred June 7 and the school sent a letter home to parents about the melee.
One woman sustained a cut to her lip, and no charges were filed against anyone, said Carazo.
