Here's an oldie-but-cutie, in which a Rhodesian ridgeback dog adopts a panther cub.
It's a heartwarming display that reminds us that caring knows no bounds. The mother licks the panther cub clean, and then feeds her.
The video, posted by YouTube user UZoo in 2008, had more than 750,000 views as of press time, and that number will definitely continue to rise.
Interspecies mommying gets people's attention, but it's not just because it's adorable. When animals show altruistic behavior, it reminds us that people should also aspire to do more good.
One particularly famous example of interspecies friendship is that of Koko the chimpanzee and a manx kitten named All Ball, but there have been plenty of documented buddy relationships within the animal kingdom.
