Eataly LA Location Almost Decided Upon In West Hollywood

When HuffPost LA was in New York, a trip to Eataly was a mandatory part of the itinerary. Now, we are officially one step closer to being able to drive into West Hollywood -- instead of traversing the country -- for our "Eataly Is Italy" fix.

Commercial real estate broker Jay Luchs told Eater LA that Eataly is "Not close to a deal yet we are talking to a few different landlords." Still, Eater LA has a good guess about where exactly Eataly LA will end up.

When Eataly signed its lease in New York in 2009, their broker, CB Richard Ellis, called it "Manhattan’s signature retail real estate transaction of the year."

Early last summer, Eataly co-owner Joe Bastinich told HuffPost Food that they hoped to open a second Eataly emporium by the end of 2012 in either Los Angeles or Washington, D.C.

Perhaps Eataly is taking over the old Relax The Back storefront, or even picking a place within the Pacific Design Center? Either way, we're psyched.
