In this AOL Studios video, Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger talks about the journey that led him to write his new book, "Making a Difference: Stories of Vision and Courage from America's Leaders."
The past three years have been "mind-bending" for Sully, the so-called "Miracle on the Hudson" pilot who famously landed US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River on January 15, 2009.
Sully's new book is based on his interviews with a variety of U.S. leaders, such as Lt. Col. Tammy Duckworth and Admiral Thad Allen. "I think, because of the intensity of the experience that the passengers and crew on Flight 1549 shared, there's a certain kinship that those I've interviewed feel with me," says Sully. "Because of the challenges we have faced."
