Well just call us tickled pink. The world's first Hello Kitty-themed spa has opened up in Dubai's Town Centre Jumeirah, according to gizmodiva.com.
The Hello Kitty Beauty Spa was designed by H&H Interior Design, according to Mariam Al-Molla, marketing executive at Sharaf Retail Brands, and features the usual spa treatments as well as organic makeup. The salon also has a "Kitty Cafe", which sells baked goods, teas, juices and, of course, Hello Kitty cupcakes.
The Hello Kitty obsession doesn't stop there. Earlier this spring, Taipei-based airline Eva Air debuted adorable Hello Kitty-themed A330s, all kitted out with the Japanese cartoon. (Hello Kitty was named a tourism ambassador to Japan in 2008.)
Check out the spa below.
CORRECTION: Contrary to reports at The National and elsewhere, Miyuki Okamura was not the designer of the spa, according to Mariam Al-Molla, marketing executive at Sharaf Retail Brands, which operates the spa. H&H Interior Design designed the facility.
