Mitt Romney went to great lengths to contrast himself with President Obama during his just-completed bus tour through six states, most of them in the Rust Belt. And he largely succeeded. But the results are hard to gauge at the moment, considering his five-day trip was bookended by political news that backed him into a corner.

Romney's strategy of being one of the folks is strained, the only people who would believe this homey hocus would probably vote for him/Republicans anyway. I don't think that this charade would impress the undecided voters.
By the way, does he have another shirt, or, did the media take 577 shots initially and they are just repeating them?

Romney's bus tour may have been a hit with some, the crowd demographic speaks for itself, but who really cares? The staged scenes of him rolling pie dough were laughable. He attempts to "connect" but he comes off stiff and wooden. I suspect the excitement was about similar to The Family Palin bus tour.

Hello, human diary. It is I again, Mitt, your better.

I did not think it possible, but I am going to truly miss my bus. This trip has been a true adventure, full of wonderful experiences. I rode on a bus. I visited the press bus. I ordered a sandwich using technology. Traveling these states has made me feel like a diesel-era Davy Crockett, traversing the wild American frontier and regaling the common folk with implausible tales about myself.

I have penned a short poem to commemorate my adventure, Mr. Diary.

An Ode to My Bus

Though many think me made of wood
I must confess this bus is good.
On this bus I can have some fun
While reporters ride a second one.
We started from a farm so green;
I ordered lunch from a touch screen;
I left the press a note quite mean;
My favorite hammer is ball peen.
I cannot recall a trip much fairer
And am happy there was no bus error.

That is all for now, Mr. Diary. I must now begin transitioning to life back in the stationary world. I expect it will be difficult.

This has to be my favorite sentence in the article... It is loaded with goodies I will use against the GOP this year.

"Indeed, one white man in his fifties in Newark, Ohio, who asked not be identified for “business reasons,” said of the president: “This last thing he did the other day with the Mexicans -- I mean, illegal immigrants -- I think it’s unconstitutional.”"

Isn't that all you need for a good chuckle. I just keep seeing him as a manager of a bakery or a lawn care service.

So Robme IS vetting Rubio. How does that work if Romney drops off if elected? Can Rubio be president? If people have trouble with Prez O with only one parent as a citizen, how does it work if neither parent was a citizen.
