Roy Dunn Accused Of Keeping Child Porn On His Cellphone After Losing It In Parking Lot

Authorities Find Child Porn On Man's Lost Cellphone

Roy Dunn, a 63-year-old Arvada, Colo. man, is being charged with sexual exploitation of a child after child pornography was discovered on his cellphone after he lost it in a parking lot.

According to his arrest affidavit, on May 22 a parking valet at the Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center found a stray cellphone in the parking lot. The valet told the police that at one point while the phone was in his possession, it received a call from a caller labeled "Mom." He didn't answer and instead he gave it to a concierge at the hospital.

The concierge began examining the phone, which was on and had a photo of 18-year-old AnnaSophia Robb -- an young actress originally from Denver -- as wall paper, in order to try and find the owner. Shortly after she started to access the phone, she stumbled over disturbing photographs and video of children in sexual poses and having sexual acts done to them.

The numerous images depicted prepubescent children, between the ages of 5 and 13, in various settings displaying their completely nude bodies -- some of which even depicted children being sexually assaulted by adult men.

The concierge immediately contacted the police and reported the disturbing images she found on the phone. Two days later, Dunn and an older woman identified as Viola Dunn -- and who Westword presumes is likely the "Mom" from the earlier phone call -- went to pick up the phone from the hospital, but security could not find it since it had already been turned into the police department. Dunn, presumably concerned about the images on his phone, asked if it had been turned over to the police. Once Dunn and Viola left, the police looked at surveillance images of the pair to confirm his identity.

CBS4 reports that police found more than 20 different photos and videos of child pornography on Dunn's cellphone. Dunn is currently out of jail on $10,000 bond, according to the Denver District Attorney's office.
