Washington Post managing editor Elizabeth Spayd is eyeing the exits.
Sources familiar with the matter tell POLITICO that Spayd, who became the Post's first female managing editor in 2009, recently accepted a buyout from the paper and intends to leave sometime after the 2012 election.
